Cultivating a Healthier Future for Every Community

Rooted in Grace and Community
The Miracle Tree Foundation was born from a simple but urgent question: how can we break the cycle of poverty without breaking families apart? In Sri Lanka, we watched tea and rubber plantation mothers leave their children behind to work in the Middle East, sometimes never returning. In Tanzania, we met disabled children abandoned not because they were unloved, but because their families faced overwhelming barriers to basic services. Â In Madagascar, we met street children as young as 4 years old having left their villages for the city scavenging for food.Â
Sustainable Impact, Real Results
Miracle Tree began with one child and one family, and the mission continues to grow into places that are often overlooked. Today, Miracle Tree Foundation works alongside local communities to nourish children, equip caregivers, and remove the barriers that keep families from thriving—so that every child can look toward a future of dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Meet our Founder
In 2017, Patricia Godley departed Canada for a year of humanitarian service in Sri Lanka, where she discovered a deep-seated passion for global aid. This journey led her to dedicate the following years to transformative work throughout Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Madagascar.
"Originally, I intended to establish a traditional children's home. However, during the early stages, I observed that many children in institutional care actually had living relatives. A conviction grew within me to seek a different path—one centered on preserving the family unit and fostering sustainable progress that uplifts entire communities.
What began with a single child and one family has evolved into a dedicated mission to serve those in marginalized regions. I am profoundly honored to walk alongside these resilient families, learning from their communities as we collectively strive to build a future defined by enduring hope."
